FAST, FUN, FREEDOM
The first U.P. combined road bike speed plus go-anywhere capabilities to start a whole new category. Now original U.P. features such as dual wheel size compatibility and a dropped chainstay are the standard for performance gravel bikes.
The third generation U.P. & U.P.P.E.R. frames are lighter, nimbler and more fun than ever. They also still pass our ultimate test: We only offer frames we want to ride ourselves.
And because we’re “working hard to stay small”, you always speak directly with the people who developed the bikes.
WHAT IS THE
U.P.(P.E.R.)?
-
With road tires, it is a very fast road bike
-
With big road/cross/gravel tires (32-40mm), it’s a go-anywhere bike perfect for mixed surface rides and most gravel routes
-
With 650b mountain bike tires, it’s unstoppable on very tough terrain yet much faster on pavement than you’d expect thanks to the road position
So the position lets you get out of town and reach the gravel/dirt/trails quickly (unlike a mountain bike). Space for big tires lets you tackle any route (unlike a road bike). And you can do that with one type of tire for everything or finetune your ride with multiple wheelsets or tires.

Due to popular demand, our complete WI.DE. is back and now with both 700c (29”) and 650b (27.5”) options.
This bike represents our favorite components for building a “go anywhere” gravel/dirt/singletrack/asphalt machine. SRAM Force AXS drivetrain, Eagle XX1 AXS rear derailleur & 10-50T cassette, Easton cockpit & DT Swiss wheels with Schwalbe G-One Allround tires.

OPEN UP EKAR
OPEN U.P. EKAR
The perfect entry into gravel-riding, combining the iconic U.P. frame with the most versatile gravel groupset on the market; Campagnolo Ekar 1×13. It comes with a 13-speed 9-42T cassette, 38T chainring to match the 9T starting cog, Ergopower brake levers and 160mm flatmount brakes.
The rest of the spec is first-rate too. HED’s top-level alloy gravel wheelset, the Emporia GA Pro, 3T Apto stem and Superergo LTD carbon bars, made-in-Europe Selle Italia Model X saddle and full carbon Wuthocker seatpost.
Available in 2 colors.

OPEN WIDE EKAR
OPEN WI.DE. EKAR – customizable
The most extreme performance gravel option on the market with tire clearance up to 2.4” yet narrow crank spacing for road bike efficiency. Even on the WI.DE., Campagnolo Ekar is the perfect choice thanks to its wide-range 9-42T cassette (that 467%) and yet the small steps thanks to the 13 cogs. The 38T chainring matches the 9T starting cog for a nice top gear but also a 0.9x low gear, cranks come in 170/172.5/175mm. Ergopower brake levers and 160mm flatmount brakes complete the Ekar group.
Cockpit is a full-carbon ENVE stem, bar & seatpost (select your size below). For wheels we have several options. In alloy we have the 2022 Emporia GA Pro (in 700c or 650b). It’s the top offering from the wheel pioneers at HED and Gerard’s favorite for its lighness, stability and durability. Our carbon option is Andy’s favorite, the 700c AG25 from another US company, ENVE from Ogden, Utah..
